TBGEN Africa aims to extend African capacity for genomics and bioinformatics. It will build research expertise and leadership in genomic medicine through sustainable investment, linking emerging and established African institutions together with support from experienced international collaborators. 

Seven postdoctoral research fellows (PDRFs), eight PhD students and four Masters students will be trained across disciplines and supported to next career stages. The trainees will be from participating African countries.
