AHRI successfully run the first next generation whole genome sequence

Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI), has completed the first test-run of its Next-Generation Whole Genome Sequencing.

AHRI has sequenced five tuberculosis bacteria isolates from Ethiopian TB patient. This is a big milestone for the establishment of Ethiopia's Genomics and Bioinformatics center. AHRI will use the same platform to sequence TBGEN project samples, which will build a huge bioinformatics capacity. In the mean time another 200 TB samples will run on the platform soon.
